Match 1: Golden Gillespie v E-Val.
GG came out all guns blazing, with E-Val constantly retreating to the safety of the outside of the ring. That was until E-Val used an eye rake to gain an advantage. He then kept GG grounded with a series of headlocks, and then different ranges of leg submission holds. When he thought he had his opponent beat, E-Val started playing to the crowd, and did not notice GG crawling towards him. GG attempted a school-boy pin, but E-Vals flailing arm caught the referee, who went down. GG put E-Val into a sharpshooter, and held him in the hold until Diablo ran in with the chair with ‘Golden Gillespie’ sprayed on it. He went to strike GG but the chair was ripped from his hands at the last minute by…Acer. Diablo looked in shock and fled the ring before Acer attacked him. All the while, GG still had E-Val in the sharpshooter. The ref came round just as the internet champ tapped out.
Acer raised the new number 1 contender’s hand, and stared at a horrified Diablo.
Winner: Golden Gillespie.
Match 2: Finlay v Danny Dynamite. Dynamite was out to make his mark on the 6WF, but his inexperience was clear to see, and this was exploited by Finlay. Like his late father, Finlay kept picking his spots, until Dynamite countered a figure-4 leg-lock into an Indian Death lock. Dynamite then used some highflying maneuvers, and went for a diving top rope hurracanrana, but Finlay caught him in mid-air and hit his patented flip-fall away powerbomb.
Winner: Finlay.
Match 3: EZ Money v RockV2.
RockV2 was still suffering from the 2-on-1 beat-down on Friday, and it showed, with many of his offensive maneuvers looking very sluggish. He was easily countered by EZ who, with a recent undefeated streak, was beaming confidence. During the second-half of the bout, RockV2 clicked into gear and came back at the Heavyweight Champ. EZ was now being overpowered. When RockV2 attempted the ‘Rock Bottom’, EZ dug into his tights and blasted RockV2 with a set of brass knuckles. The ref, somehow, did not see this, and when EZ went for the cover, he counted to three.
Winner: EZ Money.
EZs celebrations while walking up the ramp were cut short by Acer who said that he saw the cheap shot and the illegal object, and as the commissioner reversed the decision, therefore giving RockV2 a title shot!!
