Monday Night Mania Results (07/01/2008)

Match 1: Diablo v Phoenix Rose.

This match is about to get underway, when a technician from backstage comes down the ramp and hands a sheet of paper to the announcer who gets on the mike.

‘Ladies and Gentlemen, the Commissioner Acer has changed this match. It is now for the 6WF Hardcore Title, and it will be a Last Man Standing match.’

The ref calls for the bell and both men grapple for the advantage, with Diablo locking in a headlock, before being backdropped. Phoenix picks up Mr 6WF and throws him outside the ring. Diablo gets up and to get away from the champion, walks up the ramp. He is hit with a viscous clothesline, and the ref starts counting. He gets up to 5, when Diablo stands up and low-blows Phoenix. He grabs the champ and takes him backstage. Diablo throws his opponent into a vending machine, but Phoenix counters with a Superkick. He stumbles down the corridor and enters the locker-room. Diablo gets up and attempts to follow him, but did not see which room that Phoenix went into…the locker room…or the boiler room. There is a sudden ‘THUD’ from inside the boiler room, and with a smile on his face Diablo enters. As the door closes it is locked from the inside. There is a sound of a scuffle from inside, when suddenly the locked door is blasted off its hinges onto the floor…with Diablo on top of it. Bl00d is running from many gashes all over his body. The referee, who was waiting outside the room, starts the count. “1…2…3…4…5…6…7…8…9…10. Call for the Bell”. When the bell rings, Phoenix exits the locker room and is at first shocked to see his opponent motionless on the floor, but then sneers as he grabs his title of the ref and stands over Diablo. The camera enters the boiler room to find…no one there.

Match 2: Internet Champion Golden Gillespie v Acer (Non title match)

Gillespie gets the upper hand early on, with take-downs keeping the commissioner from fighting his own style. After being hit with a release German Suplex, Acer rolls to the ring apron, and Gillespie follows him. The Internet Champion grabs Acers head, pulling him to his feet. Acer counters with a Paylay (AJ Styles’ move) and with the champ down jumps onto the top rope and hits the Shooting Star knee-drop, getting a two-and-a-half count. He walks to the corner of the ring, ready to hit the Monday Night Gore, when he is suddenly dragged out of the ring by Danny Dynamite and then is plastered with a chair!!! Dynamite slides into the ring and attacks Gillespie with the same chair, before rolling out of the ring and grabbing Gillespies title. He brings it back into the ring and raises it above his head before dropping it next to the champion. At the top of the ramp, Dynamite motions the title around his waist.

Match 3: Realdude and E-Val v Finlay and JSS. (Tag-team Titles on the line).

This match went to the outside very quickly with Finlay and Realdude fighting near the announce table. JSS and E-Val are still inside the ring, with the ‘Eval One’ destroying his opponent. Realdude places Finlay on the announce table and prepares for a power bomb. When all looks lost for the champions, Little Finlay appears from under the ring with a bottle of Magners in his hand. With the ref stopping realdude from executing the power bomb, the little guy hands the bottle to JSS who is just about to hit E-Val with it, but sees the ref start to turn round. In a flash JSS smashes the bottle over his own head and goes to ground. The ref sees the glass all over the ring and JSS on the floor holding his head. The ref has no doubts that E-Val used the bottle and gives the win to the champs by disqualification. Enraged the challenges lay on a beating to their victorious opponents, with Realdude finishing what he attempted to do, smashing Finlay through the announce table. Nex t both men turned their attention to JSS, whom the hit with conchairto after conchairto.

Backstage: Trish Stratus enters the Commissioners office, with Acer sitting at his desk, holding a pack of frozen peas next to his head. He hands what looks like a contract to Trish who signs it on the dot. Acer puts his hand out to shake Trishs…suddenly there is a bang from behind the camera, Trish turns round and screams…then the camera goes black.

Match 4: 6WF Heavyweight Champion EZ Money v RockV2.

This match has ‘Match of the year candidate’ all over it, and both men didn’t disappoint. Putting on an hour of give-and-take action, the time seems right for a new champion, with RockV2 hitting a top-rope Rock-Bottom. He goes for the cover, but the referee is pulled out of the ring by none other than SCSA. RockV2 drags SCSA into the ring and hits him with a Piledriver. Suddenly the titantron flickers…

…The camera shows Acers office…absolutely destroyed. Acer has his head slumped on his desk when a chair comes crashing down on it. Trish is trembling with fear in the corner, and the culprit of all this destruction steps in front of the camera…GWC. He looks into the camera and laughs hysterically. Titantron goes black.

RockV2 looks at EZ who also saw the footage and attempt to leave the ring but are each met with a Sledgehammer shot from Uryu. He and SCSA put the boots to the two downed men, when Danny Dynamite runs down to the ring with a chair, the crowd cheering him on. He goes to hit Uryu but fakes and wraps the chair round the head of the champion!!! Suddenly the whole 6WF locker room pours out and the TAW Terrorists escape through the crowd, but not before stealing the 6WF Title…


News Report...Acer has been taken to hospital and will be unable to run the show for 3 weeks.
